After Completion of Endodontic Treatment
Your tooth and surrounding gum tissue may be slightly tender for several days as a result of manipulation during treatment and the previous condition of your tooth. Please refrain from chewing food on the affected side until your general dentist has completed the final restoration on your tooth. Please contact this office immediately if you experience uncontrollable pain or swelling following treatment.
We will send a complete report of your treatment to your general dentist. A final restoration must be placed within one month to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. Please contact your general dentist for an appointment as soon as possible following completion of root canal therapy. Included in your endodontic treatment is a follow-up examination to evaluate your healing progress. This appointment will require only a few minutes and is included in the initial root canal fee.
