Before Endodontic Treatment
Your initial appointment will include a comprehensive examination and consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options.
Please continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. Please call our office prior to your appointment if you have any specific questions or concerns.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (poorly controlled diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac or lung disease) or if you are on any medications that may influence your treatment (anticoagulant therapy, bisphosphonates).
If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication prior to your consultation of treatment (heart valve defects, cardiac disease, hip, knee replacements), please take the appropriate antibiotic prior to your appointment. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns prior to your appointment.
Please inform the staff if you have moderate or severe dental anxiety. Our highly trained staff routinely provides sedation for patients resulting in safe, low stress appointments.
If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, we may request that they forward them to our office prior to your visit. However, several additional X-rays will be taken by our office the day of your consultation and throughout treatment.
Please Bring the following information to your consultation
- Your referral slip and any X-rays if applicable
- An accurate list of medications you are presently taking
- If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card to allow us to help you process any claims.
- IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
