Dr. Iris Jing Yang is a board-certified periodontist with a diverse educational background and dedication to patient care and community service. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Neuroscience, and Public Health Policy at Brandeis University, Massachusetts. She gained a degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She then pursued a residency training in periodontics and implantology at Oregon Health and Science University, obtaining a certificate and a Master of Science degree in Periodontics. She is a diplomate in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Yang specializes in comprehensive periodontal therapy and surgery for treating patients with periodontitis or other gum diseases. She is a skilled dental implantologist, proficient in various implant systems, complex bone grafting, and sinus augmentation surgeries. Her practice also includes esthetic dental procedures such as crown lengthening, soft tissue gum grafting, and canine exposure for orthodontic treatments. She remains at the forefront of her field through continuous education, ensuring she delivers personalized, top-tier care that meets her patients’ dental needs.
Dr. Yang is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Periodontology (AAP), the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Oregon Dental Association (ODA), and the Western Society of Periodontology (WSP). She is currently licensed in Oregon and Washington states.
Outside of work, Dr. Yang enjoys hiking, skiing, and traveling with her husband. At home, she loves practicing yoga, caring for her plants, and watching movies with her family and friends. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
